今回は、
ヘイレックスの社会人
（神奈川県在住）の塾生
Yさんから送って頂いた
英語による北海道の旅行記
（２月上旬）を、
ご本人の承諾のもと
そのままの形で
ご紹介したいと思います。
英語学習の参考に
していただければ幸いです。
コミュニケーションは
頭の中で英訳しながら
話すのではなく、
どう伝えるかが大切です。
伝え方はひとつだけ
ではありません。
伝えづらい内容を
自身が持っている
英語を駆使して
具体的で簡単な言葉に
かみ砕いて言い換えてしまえば
比較的楽に伝えられます。
その力を伸ばすことが
できている彼は、
今自信を持って
英会話を楽しめています。
その影には、
予習や復習、
通勤の隙間時間などを
利用してのリスニング練習や
単語学習など、
日々の継続的な英語学習があります。
ニセコの体験談 in English
Last week, I enjoyed snowboarding in Niseko in Hokkaido with my friends. I stayed there for three days. Niseko is located in the west of Hokkaido, It takes about three hours to get to Niseko from the New Chitose International airport.
The most attractive point of Niseko is much snow and fine snow, because during high season, the highest temperature has usually been negative degree Celsius. So we can enjoy deep powder snow. And Niseko mountain has vast land, there are four ski resorts in the mountain. So, we cannot enjoy all area in a day. You know, a lot of visitors from overseas enjoyed skiing and snowboarding in Niseko. They usually stay there for more than one week. There are a lot of hotels and shops which the multinational companies run. Especially, the Chinese and the Singapore companies put in amount of money there. So, there are many stuffs from overseas in the hotels, shops, restaurants, and so on.
This is why in Niseko, English is also official language.
I visited there last year, it was my first trip to Niseko, and then I was very surprised because I couldn’t make someone understand in Japanese in my staying hotel. I remember that I tried to speak English harder last year. But it was very important experience for me, because the situation gave me chances to get practical English skills. So This time, I would actively try to talk in English.
I could have more chances to talk in English than before. The constant lesson with English teachers and Mr. Koichi could gave me confidence to speak English actively. And I could get to express what I wanted to say through the usual lessons.
It’s just “Practice makes Perfect!”
